The solution they were using, offered by one of the large hyperscaler cloud providers, had consistently failed to meet the city’s needs. It struggled to provide successful backups and imposed unmanageable ingress and egress fees. The city was also under constant threat of ransomware. The city needed a more responsive backup vendor that could reduce backup costs and enable secure and reliable access to data.

The Netherlands are well-known for their inland waterways, canals, sluices and of course port activities.
