Pierre’s Ice Cream implemented Voxware’s voice picking technology to streamline their distribution operations. The deployment included two key Voxware toolsets: VoxStudio, which allowed for configuration of the voice picking workflow, and VoxConnect, which facilitated quick integration with Pierre’s existing Warehouse Management System (WMS). The implementation process was completed in just five weeks. The Voxware system enabled hands-free operation for workers, significantly improving productivity and reducing the need for seasonal hires. Additionally, the system provided dynamic notifications for empty pick locations, automatically initiating replenishment tasks and redirecting workers to complete orders. The use of LXE HX3 Voice Only Wearable Mobile Computers further enhanced efficiency by eliminating the need for paper pick lists and allowing workers to operate seamlessly in the cold environment.
