To address the challenges faced by Waccamaw County RTA, several advanced solutions were implemented. The Advanced Ecolane Reporting System, along with an Ad-hoc reporting tool, was introduced to provide comprehensive reporting capabilities. Ecolane DRT, a completely automated scheduling and dispatching software, was deployed to streamline the scheduling process. Additionally, Ecolane Touch Screen MDT software with turn-by-turn navigation was installed on Android tablets, enhancing the efficiency of dispatching and navigation. A mobile app was developed to accept credit card payments, provide a portal for riders to book and manage trips, and send push notifications. Text Messaging (SMS) was also enabled to give riders more autonomy and improve communication.
