The Challenge
Nabil Cacheiro-Hamdi and Katie-Britt Greenway, the founders of Mulligans, were frustrated with the traditional model of buying and selling golf clubs. They found that golf shops offered very little value for used clubs while making significant profits on new models. The couple tried selling their clubs using social media but were disappointed with the process, which involved dealing with unreliable buyers and handling large amounts of cash. They also noticed that the only pricing guide available for golf clubs was created by golf shops, which often resulted in inflated prices that benefited the stores at the expense of the golfer. The founders wanted to create a solution that would save golfers money, make the process of buying and selling clubs easier, and keep the spirit of the sport alive.
About The Customer
Mulligans is designed for golfers who are frustrated with the traditional model of buying and selling golf clubs. These golfers are looking for a more convenient and cost-effective way to buy and sell clubs. They are tired of receiving low offers from golf shops for their used clubs and dealing with unreliable buyers on social media. They also want to avoid the inflated prices that often come with buying new clubs from golf shops. Mulligans' customers value the convenience of being able to buy and sell clubs from the comfort of their own homes and appreciate the security of having their payments handled by Mulligans.
The Solution
The founders created Mulligans, a peer-to-peer marketplace for golfers to buy and sell new and preowned golf clubs. They used Bubble, a no-code platform, to build the Mulligans mobile app. The app allows buyers to search for clubs based on price, brand, club type, and condition. Buyers can also set up a profile and be notified when new clubs that match their interests are posted. Sellers can post clubs for sale in less than two minutes and respond to comments or questions from buyers directly via the app. Once a club is sold, Mulligans provides the seller with a pre-paid shipping label and allows them to schedule at-home mail pickup for free. Payments are securely handled by Mulligans and deposited directly into the seller's bank account. The founders plan to provide users with a pricing guide once they have sufficient data, which will help sellers estimate the proper pricing of their clubs.

AK-Centralen needed the ability to monitor the cooling alarms from around the country, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Each and every time the door to a milk cooler or a freezer does not close properly, an alarm goes off on a computer screen in a control building in southwestern Odense. This type of alarm will go off approximately 140,000 times per year, equating to roughly 400 alarms in a 24-hour period. Should an alarm go off, then there is only a limited amount of time to act before dairy products or frozen pizza must be disposed of, and this type of waste can quickly start to cost a supermarket a great deal of money.
