Fetco Home Decor replaces incumbent antivirus and managed email service with ESM & ASG, after custom remediation by Comodo
Fetco Home Decor was experiencing a rampant outbreak of the W32. changeup virus. The virus was extremely persistent in that users were being re-infected whenever they connected to the organization’s file server. The Fetco CFO needed a way to isolate and fix the problem once and for all and prevent future infections from occurring. After being infected with a serious and persistent virus outbreak that the existing antivirus and managed email solutions vendor missed, Fetco Home Decor needed to remediate and proactively protect their corporate environment from future risk. Based on the experience, the Fetco team made the decision for their MSP to remove the existing antivirus software provider and deploy Endpoint Security Manager from Comodo. The unique Default Deny Architecture and patent pending Auto Sandbox Technology would help ensure that this, or any other virus, could not infect the computers of the firm. The existing managed email protection service was also removed and switched to Comodo’s Antispam Gateway service, providing the ability to prevent and filter malicious attachments, virus and malware threats, phishing attacks, and automated spambots, while reducing the overall amount of junk mail.
Infopromedia Inc. Implements Comodo Antispam Gateway to Enhance Email Security and Efficiency
Infopromedia’s clients were facing two problems. Their ISP was blocking SMTP port 25 and they were inundated with spam, phishing emails & email attachments containing malware. Infopromedia needed to find a flexible, preferably hosted, mail-management solution. Infopromedia’s clients looked to their provider to supply a managed anti-spam service in order to relieve their employees of the onerous task of Inbox housekeeping - identifying and deleting spam. They also needed to reduce the risk of infection and social engineering attacks through the opening of malware-infected attachments or by clicking phishing links embedded in email content. Several of Infopromedia’s clients faced another issue whereby their Internet Service Provider did not allow the use of SMTP mail port 25. While this is a common tactic used by ISPs to prevent spam, it also caused issues for some of Infopromedia’s clients.

BOA GmbH Doesn't Fight Cyber Criminals, It Isolates Them!
BOA GmbH was in search of a new virus protection solution for its own infrastructure. The previous solution from TrendMicro was deemed unsatisfactory because time and again the Internet Service Provider (ISP) would alert the company of harmful software. There was no longer sufficient protection for the computers, systems, and applications used. Hence, the ISP blocked the systems supplier's access to the Internet. As a result, web applications that BOA needed for its daily services were no longer available, causing work to come to a standstill.
SET Creative Ditches Google Vault for Datto Backupify
When Kienholz first started at SET, the staff was using Microsoft Outlook for email with no form of data backup. It became apparent that something needed to change as the staff was often burdened with trying to recover emails from departed employees. Kienholz transitioned the team to Google’s Gmail and implemented Google Vault for backup purposes. While SET employees quickly adjusted to Gmail, which many use for personal email, the same could not be said for Google Vault. “Unlike most Google products, Vault was not user friendly at all. It’s very hard to search for items. We never really figured out how to do a restore either,” explained Kienholz. Due to SET’s work with high-profile brands, projects often go through many rounds of revisions right down to the eleventh hour. This means that every bit of information - especially data living in project managers’ emails - is crucial to delivering clients a polished design at deadline.
